Ripples of Change
The events that have transpired over the last two weeks have been life changing to say the least. First, I spent the entire week before Labor Day watching the events at Burning Man unfold live via the internet (gotta love technology). I spent the whole time longing to be a part of the experience and have resolved myself to getting there next year (no longer just a dream - but a plan in motion set to become a reality).
Here is the tiniest taste of the magik that comes to life:
Serpent Mother
Created by: The Flaming Lotus Girls
The Uchronian (a message filled with ideal cooperative hope for the future)
Witness the Burn
An experience unlike any other.
The very next week I rather suddenly decided to take a trip out to California. The weather was fantastic, and my time there was nothing short of exquisitely blissful. I drove from San Jose down to Glendora and back. Witnessed the beauty of a majestic castle, the glorious hills and valleys of the countryside, played in the park, and knew more fulfillment than I can recall in my lifetime. I spent the afternoon at Finkbiner Park in Glendora, California, and had the immense pleasure of learning some very elementary juggling. The basics on a three ball cascade and I even got to play with a poi set (sans the flames as I am a complete novice). Discovered the wondrous art works of Dev Doolittle, my favorite of which is still The Forest Has Eyes. I had such an incredible time.
Now that I am back home I am feeling the ripples of change still moving through me. I have touched my dreams and breathed them in, felt them all around me. The time for action is here. So, this Sunday I will be traveling out to join forces with the local juggling association. (Here’s how to find one near you.)
My journey forward from this point shall be as filled with all that makes my life shine. I have come to see that it all depends completely on me. Which eyes will I use to look at the world today? I like the ones I was using over the last two weeks, so I think I’ll stick with those for a while.
