Who are you?

As quoted from the infamous caterpillar atop the mushroom making his appearance in the classic animated version of Alice in Wonderland;

“Who R U?”

(See a list here.)

I am happily unhindered by any need to hang my identity on a religion based social construct. Whew! With a list that long and sinister, it’s no wonder people struggle to escape the massive web of delusion that is continually being fortified with new threads of deceit over time.

A Ray of Sunshine

In an otherwise overcast and mostly gray day, I was cheered by this little ray of sunshine.

Some part of me wanted to roll down the window, and pump my fist in the air while whooping loudly. You know, that juvenile and yet somehow terribly satisfying behavior one often participates in at sporting events or your kiddo’s little league game after a particularly good play. A hearty thanks to the anonymous guy in the Kia Sephia.

A Direct Answer

Finally an honest and direct answer to the age old question;
“Is there a God?”

I found the answer here.

Free Thunkin'

Freethunk, born from Frenetic Wanderings; as described in the following direct quote from their creator, Jeff Swenson.

“…chiefly because either it offended a more mainstream audience or the public at large just did not understand the religious or scientific references used in the humor.”

Jeff’s also the creative force behind god hates homophobes, another hysterical perspective on some of life’s more serious problems and issues. My hat goes off to Mr. Swenson and all his ilk for bringing some much needed laughter into the world.

Here are just a few morsels that had me laughing so hard I was in tears.

What the Data Reveals

Upon further review, I find that my position is unchanged about that imaginary man in the sky.

I would say, “Who could argue with statistics like these?” (which aren’t all together inaccurate), but I already know every fundamentalist walking the planet today wouldn’t think twice about arguing it tooth and nail until one of us was dead (Yea, that was a very pointed pun made quite intentionally).

Thanks xkcd, this really put a smile on my face this morning.

Speak & Be Heard

I was once told that voting, in the United States was a person’s only feedback mechanism into the system. I didn’t agree then and I don’t agree now. While I most certainly plan to cast my vote in the up and coming elections, I also make use of as many other feedback mechanisms as I can access. The following is a very short list of places that come in very handy when I am aching to exercise my right to provide feedback into the system.

USA.gov
Blogger
Save the Internet
You Tube
blip.tv

These are barely a shaving off the tip of the proverbial iceberg. The clip posted below was provided by Save the Internet.com. I urge everyone to visit the link above and and provide their feedback to help support Net Neutrality.

True Genius

OMG! I can’t tell you how many times I have dreamed of such devices.
