The Atheist Experience

Working my way through the torrents of email I had stacked in my Inbox, I came to an invitation of friendship from FFreeThinker on You Tube. My first response to these invites is nearly always to go to You Tube and look them up.

Yes, Epic Win!!! I was and continue to be completely delighted. Read through my blog archives, you’ll see how often I feel oppressed in my local community by the overwhelming numbers of irrational believers that surround me here in Texas.

I personally don’t care what you believe. However, when anyone’s beliefs take away others’ rights, dictate what we are allowed to think and believe, and even harm others to the point of death you no longer have the sanction of whatever God you hide behind.

I am impressed with this group, and hope they stick it out for a long time. Texas is one tough cookie in many respects and in need of this kind of public forum.

God Trumps

ROFLMAO!!!

Yep, yep, yep!

Jesus Made Me Puke
Matt Taibbi Undercover with the Christian Right

Then think about it. I can relate to the kind of rubbish Mr. Taibbi is describing completely. When I was only 18 years old I was as devout a Christian as there ever was. I spent every spare moment reading scripture, praying, attending church services, and never missing a single bible study. I count myself more than lucky to have had my eyes opened to the travesty of hate filled lies I was being fed endlessly. That part about demons, it’s certainly not an exaggeration by any means. I can’t even count the number of times I was instructed to cast out my own demons in the name of Jesus Christ when I did not have someone else there to assist me.

This is a real and present danger in our society. It threatens every aspect of freedom that I have come to equate with my American heritage. We simply can not allow complacency and apathy to enable this kind of insanity anymore or else we might as well all become Muslims. Yep! I made the comparison and I honestly don’t feel like it’s very far off the mark.

The Truth is the Truth

“What Darwinian evolution did, I would say, is provide what people thought was a scientific justification for separation of races.”
KEN HAM, founder of Creation Museum

Full Article…

Ken Ham, quoted above, and his fellow delusionary Charles Ware are actually attempting to discredit the elegance of, supporting data, and decades upon decades of intensive peer review regarding Darwin’s theory of evolution by slapping a mellifluous label on Darwin himself. The accusation, that Darwin designed his entire evolutionary theory as a purposeful exercise in propagating racism is a red herring fallacy, better known as poisoning the well. In short by discrediting Darwin’s morality, these so-called learned Christian men hope to make every Darwinian assertion into a morally corrupt idea. Actually, the truth is still the truth no matter who speaks it.

This quote from the lips of an individual professing to hold some special authoritative knowledge regarding the origins of mankind. So how on earth do people with such blatantly obvious delusions manage to entrench themselves into such prominent positions and pass themselves off as intellectual authorities? Seems like a combination of factors including childhood religious indoctrination, a lack of education, and general apathy with regards to effecting a reduction of either previously suggested factor, provides an incubation ground for such viral personalities. Inoculate yourselves with education and information and help stop the pandemic proliferation of religion that threatens us all.

Look up in the sky!

It’s absurd…
It’s insane…

It’s Captain Hypocrisy!

Who are you?

As quoted from the infamous caterpillar atop the mushroom making his appearance in the classic animated version of Alice in Wonderland;

“Who R U?”

(See a list here.)

I am happily unhindered by any need to hang my identity on a religion based social construct. Whew! With a list that long and sinister, it’s no wonder people struggle to escape the massive web of delusion that is continually being fortified with new threads of deceit over time.
